In 2018, the SES Solar Co-operative Ltd. invested in the development of a 44.88-kilowatt ground mount solar power system at the Ness Creek Festival site in the Rural Municipality of Big River. This is the only installation SESSC owns outside of Saskatoon. SESSC has entered into a 25-year lease agreement with Ness Core, the Ness Creek Festival operator. The 132-panel solar system has the potential for exceptionally high visibility. The hope is that the installation at Ness Creek will offer an example of how solar generated electricity can be used to successfully power a summer tourism facility.
